Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 5 am–11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Newark is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Newark is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New Jersey's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I was actually scared to try this restaurant based on all the previous bad reviews on how terrible the service was. I was pleasantly surprised as the waitress was really nice and helpful. I ordered the spicy Korean salad. It is a misleading name, as it is not a salad at all, but cold vermicelli. Still, it was good and I was glad that I tried it. In terms of the price, it was not cheap as all airport foods are. With the added protein, this "salad" added up to $33 and some.

Reviewing airport food is probably a waste of time. The service was fine. Atmosphere ok. I ordered the spicy Korean chopped salad, partly based on the picture and description. What arrived was a plate full of chilled ramen noodles with some token vegetables arranged around the sides. If I wanted pasta, I would have eaten Italian. And, of course, it was overpriced, but, hey, it's an airport. Almost forgot - had dumplings "with scallions." Photo says it all - about 1"of scallion.

Wish I had read the reviews! Staff is so rude and unhelpful. I politely asked for a table and he pointed at one seat without even looking at me. I should have left there. Food was put on my table without a word, I almost knocked out the plate by accident. The ordering system on your phone is a pain. A lady next to me wasn’t able to do it and the waitress told her to keep trying, without helping her or giving her an alternative. Dumplings were good, but 21$ for a coke and 5 small dumplings is insane. Of course with the compulsory tip. For that service!!

I got the mixed vegetable fried rice. Decent food for airport. The staff was friendly. They also serve beer and alcohol, but I didnt partake. You order via seat-specific QR code on your phone and a staff member brings the food and drink straight to your seat.

Before I order, I already lowered my expectations for airport restaurants. Yet this Little Purse still shattered the bottom of my expectations. The beef pho contains a single slice of cooked beef. Tiny amount of very thin and broken rice noodles. So basically paid 50% more for less than half the quality and quantity. On top, the black female waitress was cold, rude, impatient. Normally I don’t write a review but this one deserves one. Should have checked the Google reviews before I entered.
